As we mark the 59th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, let us take a moment to listen to the hibakusha -- atomic bomb survivors -- while we still can. Their message: create a peaceful world From now until August 9, 2005 -- the 60th anniversary of the Nagasaki bombing -- the 273,000 remaining hibakusha plan to reach out to the rest of the world, tell their stories, and work toward peace -- while they still can. Their average age is now 72.5 years.
