Immunize yourself
You may not be able to get a flu shot, but you can still protect yourself from an epidemic that's rampant in this country, especially this time of year: lies. Immunize yourself with the truth with this series of information injections:
1) Read "Checking the Facts, in Advance," by The New York Times's Paul Krugman.
2) Read "Prepping for Debate," by Jonathan Tasini at TomPaine.com.
3) Remember that due to an apparently severe shortage of journalists willing or able to moderate this third and last Bush-Kerry debate, tonight's moderator is the brother of George W. Bush's former partner in the Texas Rangers.
If you need a booster during or after the debate, use Factcheck.org and of course Mr. Cheney's favorite, Factcheck.com, as needed or desired.
And remember to keep it on C-SPAN before, during, and after the debate, so that you can think for yourself and limit your exposure to lies.
