Snow bank
I'd hoped there'd be a new generation of ice forms springing up in the wake of our weekend blizzard, but so far, none. Maybe it was too windy, I figured. Today I discovered this bunch, detained under lock and key outside our local bank. Apparently, they'd been rounded up in a sweep, and haven't yet had the chance to talk to a lawyer, or even a bail bondsman:

As you can see, some are trying to escape by climbing over the fence, though most if not all of them are likely to remain on ice for the immediate future.

Uh-oh...
...more snow is on the way. And this storm won't wait till the weekend, as our recent blizzard did. On the positive side, with only 1-3 inches of snow, it doesn't seem big enough for its own logo and jingle.

How cold was it?*
It was so cold...that the weather reporter had to do his live shot indoors:

*yet another tribute to the late Johnny Carson.

After the storm
The snow has stopped falling, but the wind is still blowing strong and colder than zero. Sorry about the moving Manhattan skyline in this animation: your humble photographer was getting blown around as well.
